Three players finished level on 14–1, so the pot came down to a tiebreaker. Daniel S. scored 7, Liz C. 6 and Joel F. 4 — and Daniel S. took the lot. It is the only season the pool has ever been winner-take-all; every year since has split the pot between everyone left standing.
The pool began in Week 7 of 2008, after Dave was knocked out of somebody else's pool in Week 3 and decided to run his own. Eleven weeks, fifteen picks: one a week except Week 15, which took three, and Weeks 16 and 17, which took two.
